22 Oct Celebrating Fiona Reid’s Appointment as Women in Lighting South Africa Ambassador
BHA School of Lighting is proud to congratulate Fiona Reid, BHA student, lighting design specialist, entrepreneur, and owner of Liquid Lighting, on her appointment as the new Women in Lighting (WIL) Ambassador for South Africa.
Taking over from Mandi Botha of Pamboukian Lightdesign ,Fiona will help lead and grow the Women in Lighting community locally while connecting South Africa to a global network of women working in lighting and lighting design.
BUILDING THE FUTURE OF WOMEN IN LIGHTING IN SOUTH AFRICA
Speaking about her new role, Fiona shared: “Confidence is the foundation of becoming HER. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about believing in your ability to grow and succeed. Show up as the woman who knows her worth, even when the journey feels challenging.”
Fiona has already called on women across the South African lighting industry to get involved, connect, share experiences, support one another, and inspire future generations entering the profession.
She is also exploring opportunities to bring the local community together through future Women in Lighting South Africa events and gatherings.
