BHA School of Lighting’s Emergency Lighting Course has been designed to educate build environment professionals how to design & specify emergency lighting systems for all workplaces based on South African National Building Regulations. Most importantly this course will highlight the difference between emergency escape lighting & emergency standby lighting.

 

Please be aware that BHA School of Lighting is in the process of updating this course content to include the latest published international emergency lighting standards & compliance regulations.

Subjects covered in this short course:

 

  • Module 1: Emergency Lighting Definitions
  • Module 2: SANS 10400-T: The application of the National Building Regulations: Fire Protection with focus on those aspects applicable to lighting
  • Module 3: SANS 10114-2:2020: Interior Lighting: Part 2: Emergency Lighting
  • Module 4: The practicalities of the lighting design process

 

Please note the course duration is 14 days which includes the completion of an Online Examination.
