1 Introduction
These Terms and Conditions apply to all course enrolments purchased through BHA School of Lighting (BHASL). The enrolment serves as the contract between you and BHASL relating to your participation in the courses for which you have registered and paid or are paying by instalment.

2 Continuing Education Policy
BHASL is Accredited by European Association for Higher Education Advancement. The Accreditation is globally applicable. The Accreditation applies to all of the courses offered by BHASL.
These terms and conditions incorporate the provisions that apply to all course participants.

3 Use of personal information and privacy policy
BHASL only uses personal information for the purpose of communication with individual students, when inviting students to attend webinars or Free Student Support Sessions. BHASL is International General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the South African Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) compliant. Your personal data will never be shared with any individual or organisation.

4 Registration
Following your registration for a BHASL course, the details you have provided will be used to create or update a participant record and provide you with access to our e-learning software platform.
You may be required to provide additional identification for this process, such as a head and shoulders colour photograph of yourself to prepare and issue an International Student Registration Card.

5 Fees
Fees must be paid in full or by agreed payment term by instalment after the first instalment has been paid. No course access is given until payment agreed and indicated on the signed enrolment form, has been received.
All instalments are due for payment on the 25th of every month until the debt has been extinguished. Students may apply in writing to make payment on another date. If such application is acceptable, it will be communicated to the student concerned.
Students who fail to make payment of the instalment will have 7 days after the agreed instalment payment date. If instalments are not paid within the agreed time and period of leniency, the student’s access will be suspended until payment is received.

6 Instalment Payment Options
BHASL does not charge interest or initiation fees.
The only fee levied is to cover the additional financial accounting administration, Payfast payment link administration and the recovery of bank or Payfast Forex fees. BHASL always strives to keep the course fees at an affordable level for all students both present and future.

7 Academic Integrity
Participants are expected to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity. Students are not permitted to access the work of other students at any time. We monitor the logs throughout every day. If any incident is noticed, the guilty student will be sanctioned.
We also monitor incidents of plagiarism, collusion or the excessive use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) when answering assignments. We recognize the importance of AI and the benefits of AI in business and education for research. Our AI policy will be revised from time to time.

8 Certificates
Participants who have complied with the requirements of any short course and have paid the applicable course fees in full will be issued a certificate on completion of the specific course final assignment or Quiz. Certificates will be digital and will be sent to the recipient by email.
Students who successfully complete the Advanced Diploma in Illumination Engineering Course and the final examinations, will on graduation, receive their Advanced Diploma which will be sent to the student by courier together with the final report.

9 Additional Enrolment Time
Students who do not keep to their own study plan which was approved by an educator, may apply in writing for additional time to be added to the enrolment at a cost of ZAR1,500 or USD90 per additional month that is required to complete the course. The additional time will only become active after payment for that time has been received.

10 Withdrawal
No Refund will be considered for cancellations, or withdrawals.
